After three losing seasons, the Denver Broncos officially moved on from head coach Vic Fangio during Week 18 of the NFL's regular season. Fangio was one of four NFL head coaches to lose their jobs at the conclusion of the league schedule and have been moving quickly to finding a replacement.
In fact, Denver already has nine interviews booked with head coaching candidates to fill this vacancy. Green Bay Packers quarterback coach/passing game coordinator Luke Getsy is the latest to join this list on Tuesday morning.
Broncos Head Coach Rumors
Getsy has been instrumental in developing a fierce Packers offense during his two stints in Green Bay from 2014-17 and 2019-present. The former collegiate coach was promoted as Green Bay's passing coordinator in 2020 and led the Packers to a league-leading scoring offense (31.8 points per game) while setting an NFL record for red-zone touchdown percentage (80.0%).
Getsy is just one of nine names the Broncos' head coaching list, which is also highlighted by both Kellen Moore and Dan Quinn of the Dallas Cowboys, Eric Bieniemy of the Kansas City Chiefs, and Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
Denver is eager to find Fangio's replacement and look forward to the future building around a strong defense and offensive led by valuable pieces such as running back Javonte Williams and wide receiver Courtland Sutton.
