Despite some injury struggles this season, the Milwaukee Brewers are poised for an important second half of the MLB season. Currently, Milwaukee leads the NL Central standings by 4.0 games with their 53-39 overall record.

In addition to their place in the standings, the Brewers got some good news in the form of second baseman Kolten Wong's latest injury update. Wong is set to return from the 10-day injured list either Friday or Saturday this weekend.

Wong's been on the shelf for most of July with a calf issue. This latest stint marked his third time missing baseball games during the 2021 MLB season. He had already found himself on the IL with an oblique issue two separate times.

Regardless, Wong is an important part of the Brewers' lineup when he's healthy. In 53 games, the two-time Gold Glove winner is slashing .291/.346/.485 with 7 long balls and 20 RBIs. He's a table-setter and his exceptional defense in the infield has surely been missed in Milwaukee.

The Brewers own the seventh-best odds (+1300) to win the World Series on FanDuel Sportsbook.
