The Milwaukee Brewers have had an incredible second half ofd the season, taking complete command of the NL Central, where they now lead the St. Louis Cardinals by 13.5 games as we head into the final few weeks of the season.
With that much breathing room, Milwaukee can afford to be cautious with any injuries ahead of the playoffs, and that's exactly what they're doing with Avisail Garcia, who will sit out on Wednesday with a back injury.
Avisail Garcia Injury Update
The Brewers outfielder was taken out of the game early on Tuesday because of lower back spasms and it looks like the team is taking the slow approach in bringing him along.
Back issues aren't something you want to rush with in the first place, but ensuring Garcia is fully healthy for the postseason is priority No. 1 here for Milwaukee.
Garcia has been a big part of the Brewers' lineup this season, hitting .269 with 27 home runs and 82 RBIs. He's added an .835 OPS in as well.
Milwaukee currently has +1000 odds to win the World Series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest MLB odds.
