The Milwaukee Brewers rallied around their strong pitching staff to an early lead in the NL Central division and 8-5 record. All without their starting third baseman, and an important piece to the offense, Luis Urias.

Urias began the year on the 10-day Injured List due to a quad issue but his latest injury update is a great sign for Milwaukee.

Brewers News

Urias is set to finally begin his rehab assignment at Double-A Biloxi on Saturday. There was some hope for this rehab assignment to begin last weekend, but Urias' recovery has been slower than expected.

Jace Peterson and Mike Brosseau split time at third base in Urias' absence, but have struggled. Peterson is slashing just .111/.273/.111 in 11 games and Brosseau is hitting .154/.214/.385 in 7 appearances.

Milwaukee is missing a .249/.345/.445 career performance from Urias in 2021, where he ranked second on the team with 75 RBIs and provided consistent production in the middle of Milwaukee's lineup.

For now, the Brewers are tied with the eighth-best odds (+1500) to win the 2022 World Series on FanDuel Sportsbook.
