Shortstop Brandon Crawford's exit in the third inning Tuesday night prompted questions from San Francisco Giants fans. Though San Francisco was already up 10-1 at that point, it seemed like another factor prompted the removal.

It's now been revealed that Crawford suffered a concerning injury in Tuesday's game that led to his exit.

Brandon Crawford Injury

Giants manager Gabe Kapler said that Crawford bent his wrist back on his stolen base attempt against the San Diego Padres, which caused him to hit the showers early.

The good news is that Kapler doesn't sound too concerned about his starting shortstop. Crawford may be out of the lineup on Wednesday against the Padres, but there doesn't appear to be any serious worries about the injury.

Hopefully this doesn't turn out be anything major and some short rest helps Crawford get healthy. A day off could be the reset the 35-year-old needs after recording just 3 hits in 15 at-bats so far this season.

MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook favor the Giants (-138) to beat San Diego on Wednesday.
