Parlays are often considered a "sucker bet," until you hit it big. And that's exactly what happened to one bettor at FanDuel Sportsbook at the New Meadowlands Racetrack Sunday night.

While many gamblers place small wagers in their parlays, this bettor laid out $25,000 with a chance to win $185,000. He played a three-leg, two-sport parlay with the underdog Golden State Warriors as the final piece of the puzzle.

After the Washington Nationals (-114) beat the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday afternoon and the Boston Red Sox (-122) topped the New York Yankees on "Sunday Night Baseball," the Warriors (+116) just needed to beat the Raptors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals in Toronto. Those three games added up to more than 6-to-1 odds at +638.

After the final buzzer sounded at Scotiabank Arena and the Warriors tied the series at one game apiece, this bettor cashed out more than three times the median household income in the US. That's a pretty nice way to close out your weekend.
