Damien Williams opted out of the 2020 season, and the Kansas City Chiefs wasted no time replacing him. The organization spent a first-round pick on Clyde Edwards-Helaire before adding Le'Veon Bell later in the season.

The Chiefs then elected to release Williams in the offseason. A proven postseason performer, Williams racked up 290 yards from scrimmage and 6 touchdowns in Kansas City's 2019 Super Bowl run. He should be able to provide depth to any RB-needy contender.

Here are the three best remaining destinations for the RB.

Damien Williams Rumors

3. Miami Dolphins

Williams began his career in Miami and a return to the Dolphins would make a ton of sense. He'd form a nice one-two punch with Myles Gaskin, and the Dolphins don't have too much depth behind the promising second-year back. He would also add Super Bowl experience to one of the youngest teams in the league, which can't be overlooked.

2. Buffalo Bills

Keeping it in the AFC East, the Buffalo Bills would be another great landing spot for Williams. He'd likely cede most of the traditional rushing duties to Zack Moss and Devin Singletary, but the 28-year-old could be a real asset in the passing game. Buffalo is one of the pass-heaviest teams in the league, and Williams is a more proven receiver than either Bills' RB. He'd be a nice under-the-radar pickup for a team with legit Super Bowl aspirations.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are letting James Conner walk, leaving the team with very little proven talent at RB. Williams would likely get a bigger role in Pittsburgh than he would pretty much anywhere else. Ben Roethlisberger is also much more conservative than he used to be, so adding another safety blanket in the backfield could be valuable for this offense.
