Best Remaining Cornerbacks for the Vikings to Target in Free Agency
By Max Staley

Even after losing a ton of talent this offseason, the Minnesota Vikings boast one of the most well-rounded rosters in the NFL. Still, they do have a need at cornerback as they've lost talent like Xavier Rhodes and Trey Waynes to free agency.
While they'll surely address the position in the 2020 NFL Draft, there are still a few low-cost options they could target in free agency. Here are the best corners Minnesota can still sign this offseason.
1. Prince Amukamara
Prince Amukamara is still a solid player, receiving a 70.5 coverage grade from Pro Football Focus in 2019. But entering his age-31 season, he's unlikely to receive a big contract in free agency. He could come in and be a serviceable stopgap option for the Vikings and a solid veteran presence in the locker room.
2. Logan Ryan
Logan Ryan is still a great slot corner, something Minnesota could really use with Mackensie Alexander's departure this offseason. He received a decent 64.9 grade from PFF, with excellent marks as a run defender and and as a pass rusher. The 29-year-old could be a great addition to the Vikings' secondary.
3. Ross Cockrell
Ross Cockrell was a really solid asset in 2017, posting a 71.1 grade per PFF. He suffered a devastating injury in 2018, though, missing the entire season, and he wasn't great in his 2019 return (57.5 grade). That underwhelming production could have him available on the cheap, and taking a gamble on Cockrell could pay off for the Vikings.
