Best Prop Bets for Texans vs Saints Week 1 Monday Night Football Game
By Max Staley

Our first "Monday Night Football" game of the season brings us a premier matchup between two of the league's most exciting teams. The Houston Texans will take on the New Orleans Saints in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome with the Saints coming in as 6.5-point home favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
If you're looking to place a wager on tonight's game, here are four of the best prop bets for the MNF matchup between the Texans and the Saints.
4. DeAndre Hopkins - Receiving Yards: Over 92.5 (-112)
DeAndre Hopkins has been absolutely dominant over his last three regular-season games, tallying at least 104 yards in each contest. He has averaged 140.3 yards per game during that span. Two of those three games also came on the road, so his play doesn't necessarily drop off too much when playing away from home.
3. Alvin Kamara - Total Receptions: Under 5.5 (-136)
Alvin Kamara is one of the most electric receiving backs in the league, but he often doesn't get the volume that many would expect. In fact, Kamara has recorded less than six receptions in six of his last eight regular-season games. Additionally, he's caught less than six passes in five consecutive regular-season home games.
2. To Score 2+ Touchdowns - Alvin Kamara (+370)
Kamara might struggle to reach six receptions, but he doesn't need much volume to be a threat to score a couple of touchdowns. And when Kamara does score, he often does it in bunches. He scored a touchdown in nine regular-season games in 2018, and he posted a multiple-TD game in six of those nine contests. He's available at -155 odds to score at least one TD, so while this is a bit riskier, it also yields a much higher reward.
1. Drew Brees - Passing Yards: Over 285.5 (-108)
Drew Brees isn't quite as dominant as he once was, but he's been flat-out unstoppable at home. The future Hall of Famer averaged 321.6 passing yards per game at home last season, which was a massive improvement on the 217.6 yards per game he averaged on the road. He exceeded this total in five of his seven home games in 2018, and even averaged 9.54 yards per attempt in the Superdome, which would've ranked No. 2 in the NFL if he did it across a 16-game season. Brees is hard to stop at home, and the Texans could struggle to contain the Saints' passing game on Monday night.
