The Cincinnati Bengals are preparing for what should be a battle against the Cleveland Browns in Week 14. Cincinnati received some unfortunate news on Thursday, as wide receiver Tee Higgins popped up on the injury report with a hamstring injury.
Now the Bengals have provided an update on Higgins' status for Week 14.
Tee Higgins Injury Update
Head coach Zac Taylor told reporters that Higgins is expected to play on Sunday. The wideout participated in some of Friday's practice session and it appears there are no major concerns regarding his status for the game against the Browns.
This news is a major sigh of relief for Cincinnati. Hamstring injuries are notoriously troublesome problems that can sideline players for several weeks in more serious cases. However, Higgins was at least able to log limited practices ahead of Sunday's contest, so it doesn't seem it will hold him back versus Cleveland.
The Browns are also dealing with an injury to a top wide receiver, as Amari Cooper is questionable for Week 14 due to a hip injury. Though there's optimism he plays, his DNP on Friday could put him in jeopardy of missing this meeting, which would severely downgrade Cleveland's offense.
The Bengals are currently projected as 5.5-point favorites ahead of this AFC North clash, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
