The 2022 NFL Draft featured a total of 262 prospects being selected by teams across the league and a number of undrafted free agents signed deals afterwards as well. The entire process acted a jolt for NFL fans as anticipation for the season is starting to rise ahead of the schedule release on May 12.

Keep in mind fans already know the opponents their favorite team will play in 2022, just not specific dates or order. The Cincinnati Bengals will hope to continue the positive momentum they built by making the Super Bowl last season, but it's certainly going to be no easy task this time around.

Bengals Schedule 2022

Sports Illustrated's Zach Koons put together a strength of schedule metric based on the known opponents and their 2021 regular-season records. Let's just say it it wasn't the best result for the Bengals considering they rank with the hardest schedule in the AFC and third-hardest overall.

Of course, playing in the AFC North division is always going to be tough. The Baltimore Ravens earned one of the best draft grades in the NFL and the Cleveland Browns added quarterback Deshaun Watson in the offseason. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh stills owns one of the scariest defenses.

The Bengals are also slated to take on the NFC South and AFC East divisions. Five of those eight teams finished above the .500 mark in 2021. Matchups against the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans round out what is easily a schedule full of nightmare matchups.

The Bengals have proven time and time again that they should not be underestimated, though. Oddsmakers have definitely kept Cincinnati's opponents in mind and give the team +2200 odds to win Super Bowl 57, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Those chances rank T-11th in the NFL.
