Bears Projected for Perfect Free Agent Signing by NFL.com

The Chicago Bears haven't won a playoff game since the 2010 NFL season. Now, they'll look to sign the perfect free agent this offseason to help usher in a new era of Chicago football.

Free Agency Predictions

NFL.com gave a prediction for each team a free agent could be matched with this offseason, and the Bears are projected to make the perfect signing in the form of New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Terron Armstead.

Bears Free Agent Rumors

The Bears are set to roll with Justin Fields as their full-time quarterback going forward. However, Chicago must build him a better offensive line to succeed after the team surrendered a league-leading 58 sacks in 2021.

Meanwhile, Armstead will be one of the most sought-after offensive linemen this offseason. The three-time Pro Bowler is one of the best at protecting his quarterback, giving up just five sacks in 56 starts since the 2018 NFL season.

If the Bears want Fields to have all the time in the world to throw the ball, making a play for Armstead is a no-brainer. Chicago has over $25 million to spend in free agency, so they definitely have the space to pull a deal off.

The Bears currently have +7000 odds (No. 27) to win Super Bowl LVII next season, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Improving the o-line by bringing in Armstead would go a long way to boost those odds before the season begins.
