The Chicago Bears made several changes at quarterback this offseason ahead of the 2021 campaign. Mitchell Trubisky is now in Buffalo, veteran Andy Dalton was brought in as starter, and the the Bears capitalized on Justin Fields' fall in the NFL Draft to select a much-needed QB of the future.

There have been calls for Fields to be Chicago's starter on Day 1 despite Dalton's signing. ProFootballFoucs recently weighed in on who could start for the Bears this season.

PFF gave the nod to Fields as Chicago's starter in 2021. They believe the Ohio State product actually gives the Bears a better chance to win than the experienced Dalton.

"He was arguably the most accurate quarterback in college football this past season; he is also a tremendous athlete and is coming off two consecutive seasons with 90.0-plus PFF grades at Ohio State. Chicago’s best chance to win is with him as the starter."

It'd certainly be bold to throw Fields out there in Week 1. Even Tua Tagovailoa, who was the fifth overall pick in the 2020 draft, sat behind veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick until Week 6 last season.

Still, Fields could make an impact immensely and Dalton's presence shouldn't limit Chicago from seeing what they have in the rookie. He put up 5,373 yards and 63 TDs (to just 9 INTs) in two seasons as the Buckeyes' starter. Fields also added another 383 yards and 15 scores on the ground while at Ohio State.

The rookie signal-caller's dual-threat abilities would give the Bears a dynamic threat under center that they won't find elsehwere. It won't be shocking at all if Fields gets the start on Sunday Night Football to start the season.
