Andy Dalton Bears Jersey Number Revealed

The Chicago Bears were active in this offseason's quarterback carousel, but it didn't amount to much. They ended up signing veteran QB Andy Dalton to be the team's starter in 2021 with Mitchell Trubisky departing. He's a solid quarterback even in this later part of his career, although he might not bring anything that much new to Chicago.
Keeping with that theme, Dalton chose familiarity instead of change for his Bears jersey number.

Dalton will once again don No. 14 as he takes over under center in the Windy City. He wore the number in each of his two previous stops with the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys. He also wore No. 14 during his four years as a standout at TCU.
Dalton's last season as a designated starter was 2019 with the Bengals when he threw for 3,494 yards, 16 TDs and 14 INTs while going 2-11. But, he played admirably filling in for Dak Prescott last season in Dallas, totaling 2,170 yards, 14 TDs and 8 INTs while going 4-5 in relief efforts.
Not much has changed for Dalton as he joins the Bears, which could be a sign of things to come for a team that just finished 8-8 for the second season in a row. The veteran isn't a long-term solution, but the upcoming draft hosts plenty of opportunities to find a possible QB of the future that could usher in some real change.
