Alvin Kamara's fantasy owners can finally rejoice in Week 10, as the superstar running back is ready to return from a two-game absence. As the New Orleans Saints had their bye in Week 9, Kamara had an extra week to rest his injured ankle and was a full-go in practice leading up to Sunday's divisional clash with the Atlanta Falcons.

That should immediately elevate his fantasy football value back into the top tier of running backs.

Prior to his Week 6 injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kamara was having a solid fantasy season, tallying 649 all-purpose yards, though his upside had been limited with just two touchdowns. He was experiencing a career-high in workload through six weeks, but diminished efficiency as his yards per carry (4.3) and yards per reception (8.4) marks are currently career lows.

In Kamara's absence, Latavius Murray was an absolute fantasy beast, posting back-to-back 100-yard rushing performances while scoring four touchdowns. Murray was even prominent in the receiving game, racking up 14 receptions for 86 yards in those two games.

While Murray's production, coupled with Kamara's injury, should lead to a more balanced workload split going forward, Kamara still showed RB1 value sharing the Saints' backfield with Mark Ingram in his first two seasons.

Kamara also gets to return in a great matchup in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons, who rank 30th in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA rankings. Even with some question marks around his volume Kamara is the third-ranked RB in our Week 10 PPR fantasy football rankings.
