NIL partnerships are being signed across the college football landscape as Week 1 kickoff nears, but none may be better than the one Alabama freshman Ga'Quincy McKinstry just agreed to. The kid nicknamed "Kool-Aid" has landed a deal with the flavored drink mix brand of the same name.

Kool-Aid McKinstry

McKinstry is even listed on Alabama's official roster under the name of "Kool-Aid". Kool-Aid joined in on the fun by tweeting that they have swapped names with the college freshman in order to give him the power of "OH YEAH." Of course, that is the storied catchphrase of the Kool-Aid man.

The Birmingham native comes to Alabama as the No. 1 recruit in the state and the No. 23 overall recruit in the nation, according to 247Sports. He is the headlining athlete in a Crimson Tide 2021 recruiting class that ranked No. 1 overall ahead of the Ohio State Buckeyes and LSU Tigers.

At 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, McKinstry is expected to battle for snaps on the Crimson Tide defense and could be the next young cornerback to make a name for himself under head coach Nick Saban. His outstanding vertical jump and ability to bait opposing quarterbacks makes him stick out.

All things considered, the pairing of McKinstry and Kool-Aid seems to be a match made in heaven. Meanwhile, Alabama currently has the best odds to win the College Football Championship at +265, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
