Adam Thielen Injury Update Muddies Fantasy Value For Potential Return on Monday Night Football

Adam Thielen has played just seven snaps over the past four weeks since suffering a hamstring injury against the Detroit Lions in Week 7. Outside of Stefon Diggs, no other wideout on Minnesota's roster has done enough to adequately fill his shoes.
Minnesota's passing game has still thrived in Thielen's absence, but getting him back in the lineup would definitely go a long way. Unfortunately, it's still too early to tell whether or not he'll return this week, as the 29-year-old wideout sat out Wednesday's practice.
The #Vikings get mostly good news on the injury front. After being held out yesterday, Linval Joseph, Everson Griffen, Shamar Stephen, Anthony Harris and Harrison Smith all have helmets at today’s longer practice.

The bright side here is the Vikings don't have to file an injury report until Thursday, which leaves some semblance of hope that the 29-year-old wideout could finally make his return. And if he does, he'll have a pretty solid matchup against a Seattle Seahawks defense that's allowed 151 receptions (No. 27 in the NFL) and 1,890 yards (No. 22 in the NFL) to receivers.
However, fantasy owners would be wise to have a suitable streamer with a favorable matchup on hand just in case the PPR stud doesn't see the field on Monday night, as no Vikings wideout outside of Diggs cracked our Week 13 PPR Rankings.
Olabisi Johnson has been Thielen's primary replacement since Week 7 and he hasn't done much with the few passes he's seen thrown his way. Over the past five games, the rookie out of Colorado State has caught just 15 passes on 25 targets for 131 yards and two touchdowns despite playing at least 71 percent of Minnesota's offensive snaps.
