While making a timely return from injury after a mid-week absence isn't unheard of, missing a Wednesday practice is the first sign that a player is likely to miss his team's next game.

This is where Minnesota Vikings' wide receiver Adam Thielen finds himself ahead of the team's Week 11 matchup with the Denver Broncos at home in Minneapolis.

Thielen was held out of Minnesota's practice again today, after he initially sustained a hamstring injury in Week 7. The issue caused him to sit out the Vikings' Week 8 matchup with the Washington Redskins before re-aggravating it one drive into Minnesota's Week 9 battle with the Kansas City Chiefs. After missing Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys, the wideout is trending toward being out against the Broncos this weekend.

Obviously, this isn't a good sign for Thielen's fantasy potential, but it is a boon for fellow Vikings' wideouts Stefon Diggs and Bisi Johnson.

Stefon Diggs Fantasy Value

That Week 8 matchup Thielen missed was the same game that saw Diggs tie both his single-game, season-high reception total (seven catches) and tally his second-highest receiving total (143 yards) of the season.

While Diggs didn't replicate that kind of success in a tougher defensive matchup with the Cowboys' defense in Week 10, he has still seen a higher target share (21 percent) than Thielen (18 percent) across the 2019 season thus far.

Bisi Johnson Fantasy Outlook Week 11

However, Johnson should see the most notable improvement in fantasy value among Minnesota WRs in Week 11. The rookie has caught two touchdowns during the parts of four gamers that Thielen has missed.

Fantasy owners should consider Johnson as a WR3/FLEX play and Diggs is ranked as WR16 in our Week 11 fantasy football PPR rankings as the assumption is that Thielen misses this week's game versus the Broncos.
