Denver Broncos starting cornerback A.J. Bouye left the team's Week 8 game due to a possible concussion. A day later, he's confirmed to have suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter on Sunday, as he's now in the league's concussion protocol.
This puts his status for the team's Week 9 game against the Atlanta Falcons in jeopardy.
Losing Bouye would be a tough blow for Denver, as it prepares to take on Atlanta's high-octane offense in Week 9. It's difficult to see the Broncos matching up with Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley if Bouye can't suit up.
Look for rookie Michael Ojemudia to play an even bigger role on defense if Bouye is ultimately ruled out.
