March Madness rolls on with a Big 10 matchup for the right to head to the Sweet 16. The Michigan State Spartans take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers, who are fresh off of an upset win over Louisville in the first round. After beating the Gophers once in the regular season, the odds say Michigan State is expected to win again, the Spartans are a 10.5-point favorite according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Although, before you place your wager on this March Madness matchup, take a look at what the experts are saying.

Minnesota vs Michigan State Predictions

Lansing State Journal

Michigan State had its hands full with Bradley and will have an even tougher opponent in Minnesota. The eye test from Thursday leads you to believe the Golden Gophers can bring home another upset win, but Graham Couch, of the Lansing State Journal, doesn't believe the Gophers will shoot as well as they did against Louisville. He does believe they will shoot well enough to cover though, predicting an eight-point Spartans win.

Detroit Free Press

Chris Solari, of the Detroit Free Press, is another believer that it's Michigan State's day, but not by enough to cover. Minnesota did hit 11 3-pointers on Thursday, despite finishing 344th in the nation in made 3-pointers this season. The Gophers have been on a hot shooting streak for the last few games, and Chris predicts that to continue enough for Minnesota to cover the spread, with Michigan State winning, 78-70.

ESPN Basketball Power Index

ESPN is not as impressed with the Golden Gophers as everyone else is. The BPI gives Minnesota just a 9.8-percent chance of winning despite its recent run.

Overall, everyone believes in the Spartans to come away with the moneyline victory, but both experts that made a pick against the spread have Minnesota covering.
