Not every team makes the ​NCAA Tournament. In fact, a number of quality college basketball teams miss out on the big dance. But luckily there is the NIT, a 32-team tournament with the same single-elimination format as the NCAA Tournament, filled with the next 32 teams that were just outside the bubble and/or lost in their respective conference tournaments.


Teams like Indiana, Alabama, Clemson and NC State are big-name schools that just didn't quite have the resume to hear their name called on Selection Sunday. This is their postseason, this is their tournament.
