The Bryce Harper sweepstakes is finally over and the Philadelphia Phillies won one of the biggest prizes of the MLB offseason.

A player like Harper has enough clout to single-handedly shift the team's odds to win the World Series, which is exactly what he did on FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Phillies went from +1800 to win it all before the signing to +1300 just moments after the news broke.

On FanDuel Sportsbook, Philadelphia (+1300) is still behind the New York Yankees (+600), Boston Red Sox (+650), Houston Astros (+650), Los Angeles Dodgers (+750), Cleveland Indians (+1100) and Chicago Cubs (+1200) to win the World Series. But it leapfrogged the Atlanta Braves (+1400) and Milwaukee Brewers (+1400).

The Phillies are now second in odds (+500) to win the NL pennant behind only the Dodgers (+350). Surprisingly, the Cubs are behind the Phillies to win the NL (+600), despite having better odds to win the World Series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The biggest domino on MLB's open market has signed in Philly, but there's still lots and lots of baseball left to be played. And yet, if you're thinking about betting the Phillies, now is the time to do it.
