The Denver Broncos already have one of the strangest quarterback situations in the NFL, and according to a recent Peter King story, it's about to get even more complicated.

The Broncos own the 10th selection in this year's NFL Draft, and Peter King believes the Broncos will use a high selection to draft a quarterback. King did qualify the statement, saying he doubts the Broncos use the 10th pick to draft a quarterback, but it's certainly possible they select a quarterback with their second pick.

With Case Keenum and Joe Flacco in the fold, the Broncos are already paying their quarterbacks a combined $36.5 million this season, which is more money than any other team in the league. And both quarterbacks are just fringe top-25 players at the position.

While it's clear the Broncos must find a quarterback of the future, this year's crop of signal-callers appears weaker than next year's group. And John Elway's track-record evaluating quarterbacks isn't exactly stellar.

Ultimately, reading the tea leaves this far away from the NFL Draft is always a risky proposition. But if the Broncos do draft a quarterback in either the first or second round this season, it will likely leave Broncos fans scratching their heads.
