Well, if Kyler Murray's latest Heisman odds skyrocketing past season-long favorite Tua Tagovailoa wasn't enough to notice a major shift in the narrative before the Heisman announcement this Saturday night, this should.

Murray, Oklahoma's star QB, was officially named the 2018 College Football AP Player of the Year Thursday afternoon, joining the ranks of an incredibly positive and consistent historical trend. One that clearly suggests Murray has an even better chance of taking home the 2018 Heisman Trophy hardware too.

The AP Player of the Year award has only existed in college football since 1998, but the same player has won both this and the Heisman Trophy in 15 of those 19 total seasons.

Murray's odds via FanDuel Sportsbook have been on an absolute upward tear since facing a +750 shot to take home the Heisman following Week 13 and the finish of the regular season. Now his odds are all the way down to minus-150, which is even lower than the minus-115 odds he had earlier this week.

Nothing is final until a name is finally announced this Saturday night, but you have to like Murray's odds after Thursday's latest development.
