The Green Bay Packers have one of the most recognizable blueprints out of any NFL team: A high-octane offense that can score at any moment complemented by a bend-but-don't-break stop unit that keeps them in games. However, if the past three weeks are any indication, Green Bay's offense isn't as prolific as we thought.

Much to everyone's surprise, I'm sure, the Packers' offense has been absolutely dreadful when it matters most over their past three games, scoring 13 points total in the second half of those contests.

No wonder Mike McCarthy was fired.

Joe Philbin is expected to take over for McCarthy in the interim, but I wouldn't expect a significant uptick in second-half offense any time soon. McCarthy may have called the plays on Sundays, but Philbin had a huge hand in constructing the offensive gameplan for each game the Packers have played this season.

Until Green Bay proves they've turned things around, staying away from second-half betting lines for Packers games might be a smart move.
