4 College Football Teams on Upset Alert in Week 14

After The Duel nailed all four college football teams we projected on upset alert in rivalry Week 13, we've got a much shorter list to choose from in Week 14 with a slate of conference championship and rescheduled games. Here are the four teams that should be on upset alert in Week 14.

4. Pittsburgh Panthers (+27.5) vs. No. 2 Clemson Tigers

Saturday's ACC Championship Game currently has the Panthers and Tigers separated by nearly four touchdowns. Clemson has really poured on some big leads against ACC competition this season, but it'd be wise not to forget that Pittsburgh gave No. 3 Notre Dame all it could handle in a tight 19-14 loss.

3. Marshall Thundering Herd (+3.5) @ Virginia Tech Hokies

If it weren't for Virginia Tech knocking off rival Virginia in overtime last week, this Saturday's game with Marshall wouldn't have even been played. However, since the Hokies got their fifth win of the season and lost one game from their schedule due to Hurricane Florence, they're now bringing in an 8-3 Marshall team for a chance to extend what recently became the longest active bowl streak in college football. Since the game wasn't even scheduled for the Hokies until a week prior to the game, expect Marshall to keep this one within a field goal and possibly even win outright.

2. No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs (+13) vs. No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide

We've got a great one on our hands in Atlanta this Saturday with a rematch of the 2017-18 College Football Playoff Championship game between Georgia and Alabama for the 2018 SEC Championship. That matchup ended in a 3-point overtime win for the Crimson Tide, so giving Georgia a 13-point cushion seems quite generous. Especially considering this rematch is being played in Mercedes-Benz Stadium – the exact same venue – of last year's title game.

1. Memphis Tigers (+3) vs. No. 8 UCF Knights

UCF has absolutely dominated Memphis in this conference series, with 12 straight wins over the Tigers, but Saturday's American Championship Game will feature a wildly-different Knights team. UCF star QB McKenzie Milton suffered a gruesome, season-ending knee injury last week against USF, so we'll just have to see what backup QB Darriel Mack Jr. or Quadry Jones can do. Just remember, these two teams met earlier this season where a full-strength UCF squad squeaked out a 31-30 win. This all points to a potential upset by Memphis.
