Robert Griffin III was the only Baltimore Ravens quarterback to practice on Thursday in preparation for the team's Week 11 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.


The former No. 2 overall pick and Rookie of the Year in 2012 hasn't started an NFL game since New Year's Day of 2017 when RGIII was a member of the Cleveland Browns. He threw for 232 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in that contest.

Joe Flacco's hip injury could potentially be more serious than anyone around the Ravens wants to admit, and the initial thought was that rookie Lamar Jackson would inherit the starting quarterback job, if Flacco missed an extended amount of time. There were also ​whispers of a seasoned-vet like Griffin getting the start with the Ravens still in playoff contention.


And Jackson missing Thursday's practice could push the veteran closer to his first start in years.

One thing is for certain -- whoever is taking snaps for the Ravens this Sunday should be able to move the ball against a Cincy defense that is allowing the most FanDuel fantasy points per game (25.2) to quarterbacks this season. That starter will be a QB2 with upside and could be a bye-week filler with six teams on vacation this weekend.
