The Philadelphia Eagles dropped a 21-17 heartbreaker to the Carolina Panthers in Week 7, but one of their main weapons is making waves of his own.
Zach Ertz’s 57 catches are 7th-most in NFL history after 7 games and most by a TE:

58 … Julio Jones, 2015
57 … Zach Ertz, 2018
Ertz has been an absolute monster this season and we can attribute that to a couple of factors. For one, injuries to Eagles receivers have funneled more targets in his direction -- his 78 targets are third-most in the NFL.
Zach Ertz had 138 receiving yards against the Panthers, the most by an Eagles player in a game this season. #CARvsPHI #FlyEaglesFly

Also, favorable matchups against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, Minnesota Vikings, and Indianapolis Colts -- all ranked in the bottom 10 in the NFL in FanDuel fantasy points allowed to tight ends -- have given him the ability to rack up these numbers.
Looking ahead, Ertz will have much tougher matchups against the Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys, and New York Giants -- all four of which rank in the top 10 in terms of allowing FanDuel fantasy points to tight ends.
Ertz is a complete fantasy stud and will remain a TE1 for the rest of the season no matter who the Eagles face.
