Cooper Kupp went down with what looked like a gruesome injury in Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. At first, with the way Kupp fell, everyone feared the worst.
Luckily it was not a season-ending ACL injury for the breakout Rams wide receiver. Although it wasn't the best news, the whole situation could have been a lot worse. Kupp is officially considered week-to-week, but it doesn't sound like it would be shocking if he missed multiple weeks.
Rams’ WR Cooper Kupp suffered an MCL sprain Sunday and his team thinks he “could miss some time, but not sure yet,” per source.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 15, 2018
MCL sprains suffered by other players this season like Giants tight end Evan Engram had a recovery time of 2-4 weeks. With the Rams offense on fire like it is, head coach Sean McVay didn't want to take any chances on it slowing down, so the Rams signed former Titans wide receiver Nick Williams on Tuesday.

Williams comes in as a fifth-year wide receiver with limited on-field numbers. His career totals are 28 receptions, 263 yards, and 2 touchdowns in parts of five seasons. Both Williams and the Rams hope he can contribute significantly more than that during his time between the lines in LA.
The Rams have enough weapons to hold them over until Kupp is out, but Williams could prove to be valuable in the slot if Kupp is out for longer than expected.
While it's not advised to pick him up in fantasy this week, unless you're really desperate and want to stash him, it would be most wise to wait and see how he fits in before pulling the waiver wire trigger on Williams.
