One player never makes an NFL entire team, but college football is a little different.  


And one of the guys that really defines that difference has to be a player like soon-to-be-former Ohio State star defensive end and highly-touted NFL Draft prospect Nick Bosa. 


Bosa announced he will be withdrawing from school to prepare for his professional career after undergoing surgery to heal a groin injury sustained in Week 3.

No, we're not suggesting that Bosa was playing on talent island all by his lonesome in Columbus, but Ohio State fans should be concerned about their College Football Playoff odds going forward without him.

​That's because an Ohio State team (+650) is without its best player and anchor on defense just doesn't seem like the same kind of threat to an Alabama or Clemson.

​That's assuming, of course, they can get the best of an upward-trending Michigan team that just blew the doors off then-No. 15 Wisconsin team to fire up the Week 8 AP Poll into the No. 6 spot.

​Michigan sits behind three teams in the odds to win the College Football Playoff behind, guess who? The Ohio State University. That Week 12 matchup between the two rivals, for what will likely be a Big Ten championship game bid, should be a wild one.
