Having the most passing yards in NFL history sounds nice, but nothing is more important than most fantasy football yards of all time.

After New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees broke future NFL Hall-of-Famer Peyton Manning's record for most NFL career passing yards, it's time to light the fire beneath the debate between the two most-decorated fantasy football quarterbacks to ever play the game.

Hey, Peyton's got a point.

Let's first take a look at the production across their respective careers:

Peyton Manning: 539 passing TDs, 71,940 passing yards, 228 interceptions (4,945.6 FD  fantasy points)

Drew Brees: 499 passing TDs, 72,103 passing yards, 251 interceptions (4,799.7 FD fantasy points)

It's hard not to fall head over heels for Peyton Manning's fantasy scoring along with the basic brand recognition that comes with Manning's greatness, but you have to take a closer look into the numbers. A key stat here is the fantasy points per game, and it is remarkably close between these two greats even over a span of hundreds of games.

Peyton Manning: 18.66 FanDuel points per game (266 games)

Drew Brees: 18.89 FanDuel points per game (254 games)

What really separates these two is the scoring trajectory maintained over Manning and Brees' careers. While both have been studs for the majority of their respective time in the NFL, Manning showed a sharp decrease in scoring toward the end of his career in his final season (at the same age as Brees is now), while the Saints' all-time great is still torching defenses.

When these two future Hall-of-Famers' careers overlapped with one another, it certainly wouldn't have been a tough spot having to choose between debatably the greatest and second greatest fantasy quarterbacks of all time. But if your hand was forced, I feel like you'd have to go with Brees, as he shows no signs of late-career regression like Manning did.
