Big-time quarterback head-to-head matchups are often some of the most hyped showdowns in sports. Manning-Brady, Namath-Unitas, Elway-Montana -- the list of historic quarterback battles goes on and on. It's a battle between two leaders to see who comes out on top and it's always the pinnacle of NFL drama.

While there might not be any massive quarterback matchups in actual games this week (although Kirk Cousins-Jared Goff was pretty good), that doesn't mean you can't pit them against one another. There are plenty of fantasy matchups that you can invest in.

First, we've got a matchup between two fantasy all-timers in Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers. Brees is going up against the New York Giants, while Rodgers gets the Buffalo Bills. Let's compare the two statistically to see where they're at currently.

Brees: 80.6 percent completion, 1,078 yards, 8 touchdowns, 2 rushing touchdowns
Rodgers: 66.4 percent completion, 832 yards, 6 touchdowns

While it's an even matchup in skill, Brees has the statistical advantage so far in 2018. Rodgers, however, has the opponent advantage making for quite the close competition this Sunday.

Next, we have an old rivalry renewed and two of the best older quarterbacks in the league with Tom Brady and Philip Rivers facing off.

Brady: 64 percent completion, 644 yards, 6 touchdowns, 2 INT
Rivers: 69.4 percent completion, 906 yards, 8 touchdowns, 1 INT

Rivers gets to play the banged-up San Francisco 49ers, while Brady plays the 3-0 Miami Dolphins in Foxborough. Brady has been off to a slow start in 2018, but it's hard to ever count him out even in a weekly fantasy matchup.

And, finally, we have Eli Manning and Andrew Luck.

Manning: 73.6 percent completion, 800 yards, 3 touchdowns, 1 INT
Luck: 68.5 percent completion, 662 yards, 5 touchdowns, 3 INT

This matchup isn't nearly as high octane as the other two as neither Luck nor Manning has really impressed so far this season, but they both have talented receiving corps nonetheless. Manning goes up against the New Orleans Saints while Luck has the Houston Texans. There's no real advantage here, so the outcome of the matchup might just come down to pure luck (see what I did there).
