The Texas Longhorns have either been one of the most frustrating or rewarding teams in college football betting this season, but this one is really going to shake things up.

Just when Texas was trending in the right direction, Longhorns offensive coordinator Tim Beck has been hospitalized to treat an infection and will not travel with the team to Kansas State this weekend.

Originally favored by nine points on the road against Kansas State in the Little Apple this Saturday, that line has now shifted to 8.5.

After not covering in Week 1 or 2 against Maryland and Tulsa, respectively, Texas looked like a trainwreck and plummeted out of the Top 25 poll. But Week 3 saw the Longhorns completely flip a switch and crush USC, 37-14, including a 34-0 run to end the game. They followed that up with an underdog victory over then-No. 18 TCU in Week 4.

The Longhorns offense has been rolling, but Manhattan, Kansas, has been a historically challenging place for Texas to put up points, having only scored more than 24 points at Kansas State once since 1942 -- a game Texas also lost by three points.

Changing gears to pay more attention to the over/under at 48.5 points might be a wise decision on this one.
