Normally, this isn't even worth debating. Most fantasy football owners will tell you that kickers are probably the least valuable players on their team.

However, Greg Zuerlein is probably the best kicker in fantasy football, or at least he was before a leg injury sidelined from his last Sunday's game

As easy as it is to rag on kickers, you have to give credit where credit is due. Legatron has been nearly automatic since 2016, nailing at least 90 percent of his field goal attempts and 94 percent of his PAT attempts.

Consistency like that is key when it comes to a fantasy football kicker and Zuerlein has been just that. In fact, he's actually outscored several positional players over that period of time. However, as good as "Greg the Leg" is, he's not worth keeping on your bench as an injured player.

There's a reason that streaming kickers has been a viable fantasy strategy for many players. Instead, that extra bench spot should be occupied by that waiver-wire sleeper everyone wants to get their hands on.

If the Rams were to put Zuerlein on IR, that's a different story. Yet, as long he doesn't have that designation -- picking up another kicker on a good offense or even his replacement Sam Ficken -- is the best way to go.
