Finding the rookies that are ready to contribute immediately can be the ticket to a fantasy championship. Although, not all rookies are created equal, even from year to year. With that in mind, here are the five best rookies to target in fantasy ahead of the 2019 NFL season.

5. Darrell Henderson, RB, Los Angeles Rams

Darrell Henderson was drafted out of Memphis to be a change-of-pace guy in the Los Angeles backfield, but also to take some of the workload off of Todd Gurley's worn down knees. With the Rams looking to win now, they needed to select a player that would be ready to contribute today, and ultimately they felt Henderson was that type of player. If he sees any daylight, there will be plenty of house calls for Henderson this season.

4. Devin Singletary, RB, Buffalo Bills

Following the recent release of LeSean McCoy, we now have more clarity in the Buffalo backfield, which begins with Devin Singletary. The rookie has shown flashes so far this preseason and can be the perfect electric running back to pair with the veteran bruiser Frank Gore. Singletary is currently going as RB48, so expect his ADP to spike up. Early to mid-30's at the position feels right for the rookie.

3. Kyler Murray, QB, Arizona Cardinals

The top overall draft pick has shown why the Cardinals took him with their first pick. He is calm, athletic and can make tough throws. Working with a full playbook on Week 1, we will truly see what Kyler Murray can do. He also quietly has a talented receiving corps, with a good mix of veteran and young talent. We know how quickly dual-threat quarterbacks can rack up points in fantasy football, so the sky is the limit for Murray.

2. David Montgomery, RB, Chicago Bears

The Bears absolutely love this kid and fantasy owners should too. David Montgomery has the elusiveness needed to find and hit the lanes, then the speed and power to make you pay. He should fully take over the 250 carries left behind by Jordan Howard, and Chicago has even raved about his receiving ability. If Howard can finish as RB18 with only 20 catches, we could see Montgomery sneak into top-12 territory.

1. Josh Jacobs, RB, Oakland Raiders

Josh Jacobs, the first-round running back for the Oakland Raiders, projects to be the best rookie heading into the 2019 fantasy football season. Not only does he have the talent, he has the backfield virtually to himself. And with the entire offense improved, scoring opportunities should rise for Oakland this season, with Jacobs likely getting plenty of looks in the red zone to convert. He is the first rookie being drafted, at 34th overall (RB18), according to FantasyPros' ADP Rankings.
