The San Francisco 49ers are just two seasons removed from a Super Bowl appearance and will look to return to the big game this upcoming season. Bolstered by a strong defense and developing offense, the 49ers saw their Super Bowl odds improve following the conclusion of the NFL Draft.
San Francisco's odds opened at +1400 when the offseason began, but have since jumped to +1300, according to NFL future odds posted on FanDuel Sportsbook. That mark only trails the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills and is tied with the Los Angeles Rams.
49ers Super Bowl Odds
Of course, this draft will mostly be remembered for the year that the 49ers took quarterback Trey Lance No. 3 overall. However, the team quietly put together a solid draft outside of that, including selecting players like offensive lineman Aaron Banks and running back Trey Sermon in the second and third rounds.
The 49ers did everything they needed to do to address the needs on the roster and head into next season with a lot of depth on both sides of the football. While Kyle Shanahan hasn't given him the job quite yet, QB Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to be trusted to lead this team back to the playoffs.
It'll be interesting to see how these odds continue to shift as the offseason rolls on into training camp. For now, the 49ers are beginning to receive some hype around them and look poised to bounce back from a disappointing 2020 campaign.
