The 1-4 Pittsburgh Steelers will travel to Los Angeles to take on the 2-3 Chargers for Week 6's "Sunday Night Football" game. Los Angeles is currently listed as a 6-point favorite, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
If you're looking for an alternative wager on the game, here are four of the best prop bets for Sunday night's game.
1. Keenan Allen - Receiving Yards: Under 81.5
Keenan Allen has been tremendous this season, turning 53 targets into 38 receptions and 470 receiving yards. While he's racked up more than 82 receiving yards in three of his five games this season, Allen has failed to reach this total in two consecutive outings. Pittsburgh has also been pretty effective against the pass, only allowing a WR reach 82 yards in one game this season (Week 1 vs. New England Patriots). With third-string rookie Devlin Hodges in at QB, the Chargers could grab an early lead, which could lead to a more run-heavy game flow.
2. Melvin Gordon - Rushing Yards: Over 58.5 (-112)
If this game is indeed more run-heavy, Melvin Gordon stands to benefit. He didn't exactly light up the scoreboard in his return from a lengthy holdout last week, but it's clear the Chargers intend to reintegrate him into their offense. Gordon out-carried Austin Ekeler, 12-3, in Week 5. Pittsburgh, meanwhile, has surrendered 629 rushing yards this season, which is the 12th-highest total in the NFL. With Los Angeles likely to lead in this one, expect the Chargers to utilize the run often, which should benefit Gordon more than Ekeler.
3. Austin Ekeler - Total Receptions: Over 5.5 (-138)
While Ekeler may not see the carries he did over the first four games, it's clear that Los Angeles wants to involve him in the passing game. Ekeler saw a team-high 16 targets in Week 5, and he turned those into 15 receptions. Los Angeles also made a concerted effort to get Ekeler on the field alongside Gordon, as he played 18 snaps out of the slot in Week 14, compared to the 13 out of the slot over the first four weeks. If Ekeler is used in a similar fashion, Philip Rivers could look his way quite a bit come Sunday.
4. JuJu Smith-Schuster - Receiving Yards: Over 69.5 (-112)
JuJu Smith-Schuster's talent is such that it may not matter who is throwing him passes. On Sunday night, that will be Hodges, but JuJu has been productive with any of the three QBs Pittsburgh has trotted out this season. While he hasn't quite reached the highs he did last season, he's still gone over 70 receiving yards in four of his five games this season. As the most reliable part of the Steelers' passing attack, look for Hodges to funnel a ton of targets in JuJu's direction Sunday night.
