New York Giants' defensive tackle Leonard Williams is due for a major payday this offseason. He heads into free agency coming off of a season in which he set a career high with 11.5 sacks. It is even more impressive considering he had just 0.5 sacks during the 2019 season.

Williams will draw a lot of attention from teams looking to bolster their defensive line for the coming years. With that in mind, here are the three most likely free-agent destinations for Leonard Williams.

1. Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns would be an interesting spot for Leonard Williams to land. Their defensive line is highlighted by standout defensive end Myles Garrett, but it hasn't performed very well overall this season. They have just 130 quarterback pressure on the season, which ranks as the eighth-lowest total in the NFL. With a projected cap space of over $26 million, the Browns easily have the opportunity to convince Williams to join the squad. Plus, Cleveland is likely going to move on from veteran Olivier Vernon this offseason. That opens up a spot for Williams in the starting lineup.

2. Miami Dolphins

Another team set to have a lot of cap space is the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are projected to have over $35.7 million and are a young team quickly on the rise. Signing Williams would only improve a defense that has allowed just 21.1 points per game this season (T-No. 5 in the NFL). Head Coach Brian Flores is known to be a defensive-minded coach and could take his already stellar defensive line to the next level by signing Williams. If the Dolphins wanted to make a big splash in the offseason, this would definitely be one way to do that.

3. New York Giants

It is not out of the question that Williams will just re-sign with the team that helped him flourish this past season. He was a vital part of a defense that held opponents to just 5.3 yards per play this season (T-No. 8 in the NFL). The only problem here is money. The Giants may not be able to afford the major contract that Williams will be searching for this offseason. However, the team traded for Williams back in 2019 for a reason and they will likely do anything they can to keep him on the roster. This is another young team on the rise and Williams could hop on for the ride by re-signing.
