3 Make-or-Break Games on Chiefs 2022 Schedule

The Kansas City Chiefs can now project how their 2022 NFL season might go after the league officially revealed the upcoming campaign's schedule on Thursday night.
The Chiefs look to continue their era of dominance after winning six consecutive AFC West titles. However, their division is considerably tougher this time around and things will be even more difficult with Kansas City owning the toughest schedule, according to ESPN's Mike Clay.
In what should be their toughest season in a while, here are three make-or-break games on the Chiefs' 2022 schedule.
Kansas City Chiefs Schedule 2022
1. Week 4: @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Chiefs will kick off the season with three of their first four matchups on the road, including a Week 4 Sunday Night Football showdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The last time these two teams faced off was when the Buccaneers beat the Chiefs, 31-9, in Super Bowl LV, so Kansas City must prove that it's made significant improvements since then. Meanwhile, a victory over the former champions would likely silence many doubters.
2. Week 6: vs. Buffalo Bills
Each of the Chiefs' first seven opponents to start the season is a potential Super Bowl threat, including the Buffalo Bills. The Chiefs have had the Bills' number lately, eliminating them in back-to-back postseasons. However, Buffalo has made some changes this offseason and improved the defense by adding the likes of Von Miller, Kaiir Elam and Shaq Lawson. Many see the Chiefs as the team to beat in the AFC, but that status could change if they can't thwart off an improved Bills squad.
3. Week 18: @ Las Vegas Raiders
The AFC West is shaping up to be a close race, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest odds. The Chiefs should be in the mix until the end, which is why their Week 18 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders could be crucial. Each of the division's teams is capable of double-digit win totals and the AFC West winner might not be decided until the very last week. If the Chiefs want to prove that this is still their division to win, they must defeat the Raiders decisively to close out the season. Not only could this matchup determine the division title, but it's also Kansas City's final chance to enter the playoffs on a strong note.
