3 Most Likely Destinations for A.J. Green in Free Agency
By Max Staley

Cincinnati Bengals legend A.J. Green is clearly not the player he once was. Despite playing in all 16 games this season, Green finished with just 47 catches for 523 yards and 2 touchdowns. His yardage and touchdown totals were career lows, while his reception total was the second-worst mark of his career.
Prior to this year, Green had never finished with fewer than 75 catches, 1,078 receiving yards and 8 TDs when playing a full 16-game slate.
Having been with the Bengals since 2011, it's probably best for both sides to move on at this point. With Green set to his unrestricted free agency in the offseason, here are the three most likely landing spots for the seven-time Pro Bowler.
3. Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks have famously tried and failed to find a reliable No. 3 wide receiver. After losing out on Antonio Brown, and yet another suspension for Josh Gordon, Green would be a great low-risk, high-reward option. He proved he can still perform at a high level at times this season, posting back-to-back games with at least 7 catches and 80 yards from Weeks 6-7. Perhaps a change of scenery will help him return to form, and catching passes from Russell Wilson has to be appealing to Green.
2. Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers notoriously elected not to address wide receiver this past offseason, and it's unquestionably still a position of need. Young options like Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Allen Lazard are fine, but neither is good enough to really take this offense over the top. Lining up Green opposite of Davante Adams has the potential to be scary. This team is also clearly hesitant to allocate resources to the wide receiver position, and could be strapped for cash in 2021, so taking a flyer on a cost-effective option like Green would make a ton of sense. Plus, you have to think Green would jump at the chance to catch passes from Aaron Rodgers after spending 10 seasons in Cincinnati.
1. Cleveland Browns
Given how well Baker Mayfield has played since Odell Beckham Jr. was lost for the year, it wouldn't be a shock to see the Cleveland Browns trade him this offseason. And if Odell is out of the picture, Cleveland will need to upgrade its receiving corps. Green would be a great, cheap option that wouldn't stop the Browns from addressing other positions of need or even adding another wideout. From Green's perspective, Mayfield would arguably be the best QB he's ever played with at the NFL level, and Cleveland offers him a chance to win now while remaining in the AFC North.
