Every team in the NFL already knows which teams they will be facing during the 2022 season, just not the specific dates and start times. That will be revealed at 8 p.m. ET on NFL Network on May 12. The Cleveland Browns have surely already circled a couple of daunting matchups on their schedule.

A new look Browns team will look to make some noise with quarterback Deshaun Watson now leading the way following an offseason trade. Getting to the playoffs is still going to be no easy task for head coach Kevin Stefanski, so let's take a look at the three hardest matchups Cleveland will have in 2022.

Cleveland Browns 2022 Schedule

1. @ Buffalo Bills

A trip to Highmark Stadium in the depths of winter is not something most NFL players look forward to. Bills Mafia is going to be rocking for this one as it could end up making a huge difference in playoff seeding tiebreakers. Buffalo possesses star power of both sides of the football. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs has posted over 1,000 yards in four straight seasons and safety Jordan Poyer tied a career-high mark with 5 interceptions in 2021. Overall, the Bills posted the best DVOA rating in the NFL and averaged a whopping 29.8 points per game (No. 3 in NFL). The Browns will have to be at the top of their game if they want any shot at earning a victory.

2. @ Baltimore Ravens

There's no denying that the Browns have had little luck at keeping up with the Ravens when playing at M&T Bank Stadium over the last few years. In fact, Cleveland has lost five of its last six away games against Baltimore by an average of 18.0 points. This is a divisional rivalry that dates back decades and each team plays with the utmost intensity when meeting up in the regular season. Quarterback Lamar Jackson has has no trouble picking apart the Browns' defense during his reign as the Ravens' starter, but now lacks a ton of offensive weapons to target. Cleveland could win if it finds a way to shut down the run game entirely.

3. vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Cleveland's home schedule features six matchups against teams that posted winning records last season, which includes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Quarterback Tom Brady enters 2022 on a mission coming off a loss to the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams in the playoffs. He has the majority of his offensive weaponry back once again and owns a career record of 7-1 against the Browns. Not only that, but Cleveland is 1-4 straight up in its last five games against the Buccaneers. Exceeding expectations here with a huge win in front of the home crowd would go a long way in building Watson's reputation as a top-tier starter.
