MLB All-Star and Colorado Rockies' shortstop Trevor Story has been placed on the 10-day IL following a thumb injury suffered against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday night.

Story's fantasy owners will need to move quickly if they hope to replace his level of production. With that in mind, here's a look at three potential fantasy waiver wire replacements for Story while's on the IL.

Didi Gregorius just returned from an injury of his own, and if he's available in your league, he's likely worth a flier. The New York Yankees' shortstop is hitting .294 since returning from injury, adding one home run and three RBI. Gregorius also flashed plenty of pop last season, hitting 27 home runs, and he could be a great replacement while Story recovers from injury.

2. Lourdes Gurriel Jr., SS, Toronto Blue Jays

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is currently batting .268 on the season, with a .329 OBP and .872 OPS. Gurriel has already accounted for 34 hits in 2019, including 24 RBI, nine doubles and eight homers. Gurriel is owned in only 49 percent of Yahoo! fantasy leagues as of Thursday afternoon.

1. Scott Kingery, SS/3B/OF, Philadelphia Phillies

Scott Kingery has been highly effective through limited time this season, hitting .338 with nine home runs in 130 at-bats. He's also a more versatile replacement option, as he's eligible to play at third base and in the outfield too. If Kingery continues to produce at this efficient pace, his multi-positional eligibility could allow him to stick on your fantasy roster once Story returns as well.
