3 Best Prop Bets for 76ers vs Heat NBA Playoffs Game 1 On FanDuel Sportsbook
By Max Staley
The Philadelphia 76ers will look to steal Game 1 from the Miami Heat Monday night, but they'll have to do so without their superstar center Joel Embiid. With Embiid out, Philadelphia is a hefty 7.5-point underdog.
His absence could throw bettors for a loop tonight, too. Let's break down the three best prop bets to make in 76ers-Heat Game 1.
76ers vs Heat Player Prop Bets
3. Tyrese Maxey - Points: Under 21.5 (-116)
Tyrese Maxey has been very hot and cold in the postseason. Though he's eclipsed 23 points in three of his six games, including a 38-point showing, he also has two performances with 12 points or fewer. Philadelphia will need to rely on him more than usual now that Embiid is out, but the Heat defense is a step above what he saw from Toronto, as Miami owns the league's fifth-best defensive rating. Expect the Heat to key in on the explosive second-year player tonight.
2. James Harden - Points: Over 24.5 (-122)
James Harden is the 76ers' best hope while Embiid is sidelined. He's been more of a facilitator than a pure scorer since joining the team, but you have to think he'll shoulder a much bigger load against Miami. Harden averaged 19.0 points and 10.0 assists last series, but his scoring should rise while his playmaking takes a back seat over the next two games.
1. Tyler Herro - Points: Under 17.5 (-110)
Tyler Herro can go off in any given game, but the 76ers aren't a great matchup for him. Opponents converted their 3-pointers at a bottom-10 rate against Philadelphia, and the 76ers also allowed the sixth-fewest attempts in the league. As a result, opponents only sunk 11.4 attempts from deep per game against the Sixers – the second-lowest mark in the league. That could all be problematic for Herro, who takes 39.1% of his attempts from beyond the arc.
