3 Best Patrick Mahomes Prop Bets for Bengals vs Chiefs AFC Championship Game

The three guarantees in life are death, taxes and Patrick Mahomes being one of the best quarterbacks on the planet. The Kansas City Chiefs gunslinger has thrown for nearly 800 passing yards and eight touchdowns in two postseason games so far, earning his team its fourth straight trip to the AFC Championship Game.
Bengals vs Chiefs Odds
FanDuel Sportsbook is currently listing the Chiefs as 7.5-point home favorites, indicating that a third straight Super Bowl appearance is likely in the cards.
If Kansas City wants to turn these odds into reality, Mahomes must have another one of his classic performances. The Cincinnati Bengals are no slouches and the 26-year-old will need to be his best to get past them.
If you're looking to add some excitement to the AFC Championship Game, here are the three best Mahomes-centric player props to look at.
Patrick Mahomes Player Props
1. Patrick Mahomes- Passing Touchdowns: Over 2.5 (+116)
As mentioned before, Mahomes is averaging four touchdowns in each of his two postseason outings this year. Some people may be hesitant to take the over on this prop because of the Bengals being 7.5-point underdogs. However, Cincinnati has already shown that the team can hang with the NFL's best and just put up 34 points against Kansas City in Week 17. If history repeats itself, Mahomes could have a busy day. He's averaging over 40 passing attempts in his last four outings, which gives him more than enough volume to throw for at least three touchdowns. Mahomes always shows up on the biggest stages and this weekend's AFC Championship Game should be no different.
2. Patrick Mahomes - Passing Yards: Over 289.5 (-114)
The Bengals have done well at limiting opposing quarterbacks' passing opportunities for quite some time now. Cincinnati has kept its opponents below 290 passing yards in 10 of the last 11 games. That's not the greatest news on paper for Mahomes and this prop, but it's hard to count the former NFL MVP out just yet. He's averaging 9.4 passing yards on 83 attempts so far this postseason. If that trend continues, it would only take Mahomes 31 passing attempts to hit the over against the Bengals. He's thrown the ball at least 30 times in each of his last six games, which would be another recipe for success come Sunday. Mahomes will want to get revenge over Cincinnati for the Week 17 loss and what better way to do that than by putting up close to 300 yards this Sunday.
3. Patrick Mahomes - Rushing Yards: Over 28.5 (-122)
The Bengals have held opposing quarterbacks to a combined 32 rushing yards this postseason. The only problem for them is that the signal-callers they've beaten — Derek Carr and Ryan Tannehill — aren't even close to being as mobile as Mahomes. The Chiefs QB has rushed the ball 10 times in the playoffs, recording 98 yards and a touchdown. At 9.8 yards per carry, he'd only need to rush the ball about three or four times to hit the over on this prop. The AFC Championship Game could turn into a high-scoring affair and, if that's the case, Mahomes will do everything he can to give the Chiefs a shot at victory — whether that's by his play through the air or on the ground.
