Zach Ertz Fantasy Outlook Strong as Ever in 2020

Fantasy football players must just be getting bored of Zach Ertz.

The Philadelphia Eagles' tight end finished as the TE4 in PPR scoring formats in 2019 after finishing as the TE2 in 2018, TE3 in 2017 and TE6 (in 14 games) in 2016.

Despite that, his average draft position (ADP) of 39.7 means he's going off the board as a fourth-round pick in 2020 fantasy football drafts, making him a strong value.

Zach Ertz Fantasy Football Outlook

Consistent fantasy tight ends are often hard to find because elite volume is rare at the position. Ertz has at least 74 receptions in each of the last five seasons, however, which is something no other tight end can claim.

In fact, only three other tight ends in NFL history have ever caught 74-plus passes in a season at least five times in their entire careers: Antonio Gates, Jason Witten and Tony Gonzalez.

There's not much reason to be concerned about Ertz' volume falling off in 2020 either. Alshon Jeffery is still banged up and now rookie wideout Jalen Reagor is nursing an injury as well. Ertz is set to step back in as the top receiving option in the Philly offense, and he appears to be a safe bet to extend this streak to six seasons.

As one of the most consistent players in fantasy football, Ertz may not be a trendy pick. He's a rock-solid value, however, and he checks in at TE3 in our 2020 fantasy football rankings.
