When news broke that the Steelers officially traded away star wide receiver Antonio Brown, the immediate conversation was regarding who would fill such a large void in Pittsburgh's offense. Initially, second-year receiver James Washington seemed to be the likeliest candidate, but after a strong showing in camp, it could be newcomer Donte Moncrief.

While Washington is listed behind Moncrief on the depth chart, we are not fully through the first week of the preseason, meaning there is plenty of time for this to change.

As for Washington's fans, they have plenty of info to overreact to after he went for 84 yards and a touchdown in the first preseason game. In the only game without Brown last season, Washington caught three passes for 64 yards, which only feeds into the hype more.

Currently, Washington is going as WR47 in drafts, according to FantasyPros' ADP rankings, but expect this to rise, especially if he puts up another solid performance next week.

Meanwhile, Moncrief has come into Pittsburgh and quietly impressed everyone, including Ben Roethlisberger, which may be most important. He has apparently picked up the offense quickly and has proven to be a hard worker. Moncrief is also tremendously talented, which always helps.

Moncrief's best season in the NFL came with the Colts in 2015, when he went for 733 yards and six touchdowns. He's currently going as WR56, and he could be a great gamble toward the end of fantasy drafts if he earns a consistent role with the Steelers.

Both of these receivers will get field time and have value, but most reports seem to view Moncrief as the starter opposite JuJu Smith-Schuster. Moncrief is currently going later in drafts, and has the inside track to start, which could give him the slight edge over Washington.
