The Week 7 NFL slates features a clash between the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. FanDuel Sportsbook has Tampa Bay as huge 12.5-point favorites in a game that could be one-sided.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 7 showdown.
Darnell Mooney Fantasy
Start Darnell Mooney, WR, Chicago Bears: Darnell Mooney's connection with Justin Fields has been on full display recently. Over the last three games, Mooney has outpaced presumed No. 1 Allen Robinson in targets, 20-15. That includes a team-high 8 looks in Week 6, which he converted into 5 catches for 45 yards and 1 touchdown. Mooney now draws an attractive matchup against a banged-up Bucs secondary that's given up the fifth-most PPR points to WRs this season. The wideout should see plenty of action in a game where the Bears will likely have to air it out in order to keep up.
Leonard Fournette Fantasy
Start Leonard Fournette, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Leonard Fournette is coming off of a season-high 30.7 PPR points in Week 6 thanks to 2 TDs. Fournette is running away with Tampa Bay's lead back role, totaling 54 carries for 240 yards and 3 scores in the last three weeks along with 13 receptions for 136 yards. The whopping 23.3 opportunities (18 rushes plus 5.3 targets) he's seeing per game makes him a must-start on sheer volume alone. Also going in his favor is the fact Tampa Bay could rely on the run if they get out to an early lead, and Chicago ranks in the bottom ten in Football Outsiders' run-defense DVOA metric.
Damien Williams & Khalil Herbert Fantasy
Sit Chicago Bears RBs: This situation is tricky to forecast with Damien Williams currently on the COVID list. He was predicted to return this week, but was held out of Wednesday's practice after not clearing protocols yet. That would thrust Khalil Herbert into massive volume once again, which he took advantage of in Week 6 when he put up 19.2 PPR points. It's still hard to see any Bears RB having success against this defense, though. The Bucs are holding opponents to the fewest rushing yards per game (54.8), and opposing RBs are scoring the ninth-fewest PPR points (20.6 per game) against them this season. A pass-heavy game script may also be required, and these run-focused backs could suffer as a result.
Ronald Jones Fantasy
Sit Ronald Jones, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Ronald Jones is purely a stash at this point in case Fournette goes down. Jones' fantasy high this season is just 8.5 PPR points, thanks to a touchdown score in Week 4. Fournette is the preferred option in all facets, even the red zone, out-carrying Jones 19-5 inside the 20. Jones isn't a viable starting fantasy option for anyone, even with byes and injuries across the league this week.
