Now that we're into the fantasy football championship week, every single lineup decision you make is absolutely crucial. And since we're done with bye weeks for the year, there are also a huge number of plays to consider at every position. Some matchups carry more weight than others for fantasy production, and this one is no exception.
With that in mind, here is some start 'em, sit 'em advice for Saturday's matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.
Start Miles Sanders, RB, Philadelphia Eagles: Nothing has changed with Jordan Howard's health, and that means more workhorse volume for Miles Sanders. Since taking over as the starter in Week 11, Sanders has averaged just shy of 20 opportunities, with 14.8 carries and 5.0 targets per game — averaging 17.2 PPR points per game in that stretch. That's the kind of volume and production you want to lock in as an every-week start until Howard is back.
Start Michael Gallup, WR, Dallas Cowboys: Don't let Dak Prescott's injury scare you off — this is a great spot for Michael Gallup. He's coming off a Week 15 dud in which he caught just one pass, but he had double-digit targets in three of his previous five games, averaging 9.2 per game in those five. The Eagles have allowed the fourth-most PPR fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts, so Gallup should have no issue turning his volume into production.
Sit Carson Wentz, QB, Philadelphia Eagles: The Cowboys have surrendered bottom-12 fantasy production to opposing QBs on the year. Carson Wentz has not been nearly productive enough to be considered a matchup-proof starter, coming in at QB15 in per-game fantasy production, and that means you'll want to steer clear in this spot. Wentz doesn't crack the top 12 QBs in our Week 16 fantasy football rankings.
Sit Randall Cobb, WR, Dallas Cowboys: Randall Cobb started to hint at some fantasy value in the middle of the season, but that has fallen off in recent weeks. He has a combined 10 targets and six receptions over his last three games, scoring just 15.3 combined PPR fantasy points. Even in a plus matchup against Philly, that weak volume isn't enough to put him in play.
