The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-10) will look to snap a 10-game losing streak when they go on the road to take on the Minnesota Vikings (5-6) in Week 13 NFL action. This may not be the most exciting matchup of the week, but there's still a multitude of valuable fantasy football players in this game.
If you need help with your fantasy football lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for the Week 13 Jaguars-Vikings showdown.
DJ Chark Fantasy
Start DJ Chark, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars: DJ Chark was unable to play in Week 12 due to a rib injury, but it seems like he will be able to suit up for this game. If so, he draws a great matchup as the Vikings' defense has been torched by wide receivers all season. Minnesota has given up the third most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season as well as 18 touchdowns (No. 31 in the NFL). Chark has seen an average of 9.2 targets over his past five games and has caught at least 4 passes for 40+ yards in each of the last three weeks. Watch for Chark to pick apart this weak secondary and have a productive day. He is worth being started across all fantasy football formats.
Kirk Cousins Fantasy
Start Kirk Cousins, QB, Minnesota Vikings: Kirk Cousins has become a high-quality streaming quarterback over the past few weeks as he continues to pass the ball well. He has thrown for 290+ yards and has multiple touchdowns in each of the past three games. Cousins is also taking care of the ball as he has thrown just 1 interception since Week 6. He has a lot of upside this week going against a Jaguars' defense that has given up 23 passing touchdowns (T-No. 28 in the NFL) to go along with 279.5 passing yards per game (No. 29 in the NFL). Don't be surprised if Cousins keeps his hot streak going this week and finishes with another impressive stat line.
Laviska Shenault Fantasy
Sit Laviska Shenault, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars: This rookie wide receiver started off the season looking like a vital part of this offense, but has since been quite the opposite. Laviska Shenault caught at least 5 passes or scored a touchdown in four of his first five games. However, he hasn't had more than 44 receiving yards since Week 5 and has recently been missing games with a hamstring injury. Shenault heads into Week 13 as the No. 3 receiving option in the passing game but doesn't have a lot of upside in this weak Jaguars' offense. He has become a droppable player in redraft fantasy football leagues and it is best to avoid him this week as well as moving forward.
Vikings D/ST Fantasy
Sit Minnesota Vikings D/ST: This may seem like the perfect opportunity to stream the Vikings D/ST, but this unit simply hasn't been impressive all season. The Vikings are giving up 382.0 total yards per game (T-No. 23 in the NFL) and 27.7 points per game this season (No. 27 in the NFL). The Jaguars are a poor offensive team, but they did just put up 25 points against the Cleveland Browns last week. The Vikings have just 13 takeaways on the season (T-No. 19 in the NFL) and haven't shown any reason to trust starting them in fantasy football. With so many other streaming options, it is best to avoid the Vikings D/ST if possible this week.
