With the continued rumors of Aaron Rodgers breaking up with the Green Bay Packers, some teams have emerged as potential destinations for the superstar quarterback. One of those teams includes the Denver Broncos, who currently have Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater employed on the QB depth chart.

Despite all of these rumors, Broncos star linebacker Von Miller has weighed in on the situation. His comments are very much in support of Lock, who holds a slight edge on the QB1 spot, and even voices confidence in the 24-year-old signal-caller entering his third NFL season in 2021.

Denver Broncos News

"You start thinking, 'Oh, we're going to get Aaron Rodgers or Deshaun Watson. But hold on, wait a minute, we've got Drew Lock. That's who we're running with. That's who we're going into the season with until anything changes."

Miller also touches on the other major quarterback rumors surrounding the NFL season, including the Deshaun Watson situation with the Houston Texans. Regardless, Miller is avoiding falling into any traps of getting caught up with rumors. At the end of the day, that's all they are - rumors. He sounds good entering the fall with Lock as his No. 1 quarterback.

This is a huge boost of confidence, considering who it comes from. Miller has spent 10 years with the Broncos, while earning eight Pro Bowl selections, three All-Pro honors, winning a Super Bowl and leading the franchise in in sacks (106.0) and tackles for loss (135).

Lock will need every bit of confidence heading into the season. He's struggled mightily across 18 starts throughout his early career. The former Missouri Tigers quarterback is just 8-10 in those starts while throwing 18 interceptions and just 23 touchdowns. He's already struggled at Broncos' practices this summer and will need to turn things around if he even wants to land the starting job over newcomer Bridgewater.
